# AI Interviews: beat the AI interviewer

AI Interviews is a concept activation, built per occasion: an AI interviewer asks adaptive questions based on each answer, not from a fixed list, and then scores confidence, clarity, relevance, examples and conciseness. The tone can be playful, career-focused or leadership-focused to suit the event.

## The idea

The AI is a coach in a private booth. A participant gets practice and a scorecard they can keep, and nobody else hears the answers unless they choose. It fits HR summits and leadership programmes.

## How it runs on event day

Attendee

Steps into a booth or a phone flow, answers four to six adaptive questions and reads a private scorecard with a tip for each line.

Operator

Picks the theme and question bank, sets the length, reviews usage by count only and can disable the scorecard's tips.

LED or venue screen

A queue board and a leaderboard of anonymous scores if the organiser enables one; answers never show.

## Moderation and fallback

**Human approval.** Scores are practice feedback, not an assessment. The organiser reviews the question bank, the participant owns the scorecard and no answer is shown to others or sent to HR.

### If something fails

- A named operator can pause, skip or replay any round from the admin panel
- If speech fails, the interview continues as typed chat
- If the model fails, the booth shows a fixed set of practice questions with a self-score sheet

## Privacy and consent

The microphone opens only after a consent tap. Speech is transcribed for the round; the recording is not kept unless the organiser configures it and the notice says so. A typed-answer mode is the alternative for anyone who prefers not to speak.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the organiser decides the purpose and the retention period, and Sociana configures the consent notice, the withdrawal route and deletion on request. ## What drives the cost

**Price band:** ₹35,000–₹75,000 per activation per occasion, ex-GST (add-on menu). Per-completion model costs are quoted on actuals at proposal; no per-completion rate is published.

- Rounds per day times players per round, since every completion triggers one or more model calls
- Model mix for the round: speech-to-text and a language model with a scoring pass
- Number of follow-up questions per participant
- Private booths mean a longer average session
- Peak concurrency, which sets queueing and the number of kiosks or tablets
- Retention of outputs: replays, galleries and downloads add storage and moderation time
- Rehearsal and operator time on site; kiosks, tablets, cameras and LED walls come from the venue or a hardware partner, not from Sociana

## Questions people ask

Does the organiser or HR see my answers?

No. The scorecard belongs to the participant. The organiser sees only counts, and nothing is sent to HR or stored for hiring decisions. The notice at the booth states this before the camera or mic opens.

Is the score reliable enough to judge people?

No, and it is not meant to. It is practice feedback from a language model, and an interview score should never drive a hiring or appraisal decision.

What if someone does not want to speak?

Typed answers work in the same flow, and the booth is optional. A participant can leave at any point and the partial answers are discarded.
