## Step by step

1. **Find the quiz.** QUIZ list: Summit Trivia is STARTING SOON; opening it shows Waiting for the host.
2. **Host presses Start.** The label turns LIVE NOW and QUESTION 1 / 5 appears with a 15-second timer ring on the phone and the Stage.
3. **Answer before time is up.** Pick an option and change it if you like; when the timer ends you see Correct! +points or Not quite this time.
4. **Between questions.** Waiting for the host, then the next question; the host can Pause, Next or End, or leave Auto-advance on.
5. **Quiz Complete!.** Your Rank of 48 and Score, the top five on the phone and a podium on the venue screen.

## What happens on each screen

Three panes run one quiz. Priya's phone opens at the QUIZ tile's list, where Summit Trivia is labelled STARTING SOON and an earlier recap quiz is ENDED; the app uses four labels, STARTING SOON, LIVE NOW, PAUSED and ENDED. The Stage shows a lobby with 48 players. The Control Room is the host console with Start, Next, Pause and End, an Auto-advance switch and the question bank, every question marked Visible ON.

Opening Summit Trivia before it starts shows “Waiting for the host”. When the host presses Start, the label becomes LIVE NOW and the phone shows QUESTION 1 / 5, the question, four options and a timer ring counting down from 15 seconds. The same question and a large countdown appear on the venue screen. Options behave as a radio group and can be changed until time runs out; the phone says so under the options. Screen readers hear the time at 10 and 5 seconds.

When the timer ends, answers lock. The correct option turns green and a wrong pick is outlined, and the result line reads “Correct! +128 points” or “Not quite this time”. Scoring is 100 points for a correct answer plus up to 50 for speed, based on how many seconds were left when the final answer was chosen. The venue screen switches from the countdown to the answer split, one bar per option with the correct one ticked, built from the 47 sample players plus Priya. Each sample player has a fixed skill level from a seeded generator, so the same run gives the same spread.

After a few seconds the phone shows “Waiting for the host” and the advice to stay on the screen because the next question appears automatically. With Auto-advance on, the next question follows two seconds later so one person can play through; with it off, the host presses Next. Pause freezes the timer and shows “Paused by the host”; Resume continues. End finishes early.

After question five the quiz is ENDED and the phone shows “Quiz Complete!” with the number answered correctly, a Your Rank card out of 48 and Score, and the top five with Priya's row added if she is outside it. The venue screen shows a three-place podium. The questions are general events-industry trivia: MICE, green rooms, PNR, the Hornbill Festival and no-login polls. Restart runs it again.

## Questions people ask

Who controls the pace of a live quiz?

The host. A Manager or Owner starts the quiz, moves to the next question, pauses and ends it, while attendees see Waiting for the host between questions. Self-paced trivia games are a separate format.

How are quiz points calculated?

In this demo a correct answer earns 100 points plus up to 50 for speed. Organisers choose the scheme for their occasion, and quiz points can also feed the unified leaderboard.

Can questions be prepared before the session?

Yes. In Trigger Quiz, organisers create questions in advance with Visible OFF, mark the correct option, and switch them on during the session.

Can the room watch the quiz on a big screen?

Yes. The venue screen shows each question with its countdown, the answer split after the timer and a podium at the end, as in the Stage pane of this demo.

## Seen enough to try it?

We will load a demo with your agenda and your groups, so your team can test it on their own phones.
