# Walkthrough: A 30-day team step challenge

A read-only walkthrough, not an interactive demo. In the product: sync a day of steps and watch your team's bar move toward its target while a journey map walks from Kochi toward Goa. The organiser pane flags an unusual day automatically. Steps come from Health Connect or Apple Health; the demo mocks the permission sheet and uses fictional walkers.

**A walkthrough, not a live demo.** Nothing on this page is interactive. Health Connect and Apple Health only; no direct Fitbit, Garmin or Strava claim. Fictional walkers and steps; the permission sheet is mocked. Step and activity challenges only; not sleep, nutrition or coaching.

## Step by step

1. **Grant health access.** Count Your Steps asks for Health Connect or Apple Health permission (mocked).
2. **Sync steps.** Tap to sync latest steps and read Today, Total, Daily average and Best day.
3. **Watch the team and journey.** Team target, journey progress, weekly pace and streak update.
4. **Read the organiser report.** An unusual 42,000-step day is flagged; admin-added steps leave an audit line.

## What happens on each screen

This is a written walkthrough, not an interactive demo: there is nothing to tap on this page. It describes how the screens behave in the product, using sample data.

Sample data: six fictional teams of five walkers, thirty days of steps including weekends, team targets, a Kochi to Goa journey route and one late sync. No health data is read. Open the attendee phone and tap Count Your Steps under Engagement. A permission sheet appears. On Android it names Health Connect; on iPhone it names Apple Health. Those two are the integrations; Sociana does not connect directly to Fitbit or Garmin. The demo mocks the sheet and moves on. Before the start date the screen shows Challenge starts in, with a countdown; drag the demo clock and the challenge goes live. Tap Sync Steps, or Tap to sync latest steps, and the TOTAL STEPS header fills in with Today, Total, Daily average and Best day, plus an hourly chart that also has a data table beneath it. The team target bar shows how far the five walkers are from their goal, the journey map moves a marker along the road from Kochi, and a weekly pace line says whether you are ahead or behind. A notice reads Manual entries from health apps are not counted, which is the rule that keeps leaderboards fair. Teammates' steps arrive while you watch. Tap Go to Leaderboard and you land on the Step Count tab. When the end date passes, the screen says Steps Challenge is closed. Cross to the organiser pane. It lets you set the start date, goal, daily cap, team targets and a boost day. Admin-added steps need a reason and leave an audit line. The consistency report flags an unusual 42,000-step day for review, and exports. This is a step and activity challenge inside a programme app, not a corporate wellness platform with sleep, nutrition or coaching. ## Questions people ask

Which devices and apps can the steps come from?

Health Connect on Android and Apple Health on iPhone. Sociana does not connect directly to Fitbit, Garmin or Strava.

Do manual step entries count?

No. The app says that manual entries from health apps are not counted. Admins can add steps with a recorded reason, which leaves an audit line.

How does the organiser spot suspicious days?

The consistency report flags unusual days, such as a sudden 42,000-step day, so the organiser can review them before prizes are decided.

Is this a corporate wellness platform?

No. It is a step and activity challenge inside your programme app. Sleep, nutrition, coaching and biometrics are not part of it.

## Seen enough to try it?

We will load a demo with your agenda and your groups, so your team can test it on their own phones.
