# What is “Rewards and recognition”?

Rewards and recognition, or R&R, is the HR practice of acknowledging employee or partner achievement through awards, points, public celebration and rewards, in programmes or at annual events.

## Rewards and recognition in detail

R&R covers two very different things in Indian buyer language: a year-round HR programme with budgets and approvals, and the awards night where winners are celebrated on stage.
