# What is “Townhall”?

A townhall is an open internal meeting where leadership addresses employees and answers their questions, run in person, hybrid or at several sites at once.

A townhall lives or dies on questions. Employees want to ask something real without the awkwardness of a live microphone, and leaders want to hear the question that people are whispering about.
