# Exchange contacts by QR

How to show your QR contact card, let a fellow delegate scan it to save your details, and browse the delegate directory for people to meet.

1. Open Profile and tap your QR code to show it full size
2. Ask the other person to scan it with their phone camera
3. Your name, phone, email and designation save to their contacts
4. Use Delegates > All to search the directory

## Good to know

- Organisers may scan the same QR to mark attendance.
- Share only what the profile shows; edit with **Edit** then **Update**.

## If something goes wrong

**The scan does nothing.** Ask them to use the phone camera app directly on your screen.

**Details are missing.** Fill in Company and Designation under Profile Edit.

## Questions

### Does the other person need the app?

No. Their phone camera app reads your QR directly from your screen and offers to save your name, phone, email and designation as a contact. If the scan does nothing, ask them to point the camera app at your screen rather than a scanner inside another app. Organisers may scan the same QR to mark attendance.

### Can I hide my number?

The card shares only what your profile shows, so ask the organiser which fields the card carries for your occasion. You can edit your own profile with Edit and Update, filling in Company and Designation if details are missing. Anyone you show the QR to receives those fields, so share it only with people you want to have them.
