# Find your photos with Smart Lens

How to use Smart Lens in the Highlights gallery of a Sociana app to find the event photos you appear in, with consent and troubleshooting notes.

1. Tap Highlights on Home to open the gallery
2. Tap Smart Lens, under the line Find your image, instantly
3. Save a selfie when the app asks and agree to the consent wording
4. Open the photos it returns and tap one to see it full screen

## Good to know

- Smart Lens searches only the photos the organiser has published. If you see Get ready to relive your best moments, the albums are not up yet.
- Some apps open the AI photo gallery in your phone browser instead of inside the app.

## If something goes wrong

**AI Gallery Link is not present.** The gallery is not ready yet. Check back after the photographers upload.

**The camera does not open.** Allow camera access for the app in phone Settings and try again.

**You cannot save a photo.** Allow photo or storage access for the app in phone Settings.

## Questions

### Is Smart Lens always on?

No. The organiser switches Smart Lens on for each occasion and agrees the consent wording before launch. You see that wording when you save a selfie, and you can stop there if you would rather not. It searches only the photos the organiser has published, so empty albums mean nothing to match yet.

### Does it find photos added after I search?

Not automatically. Smart Lens searches the albums that were published when you searched, so run it again once new albums go up. If you see “Get ready to relive your best moments”, the albums are not up yet. Check back after the photographers upload and open Smart Lens from Highlights again.
