# Show your entry pass QR at the gate

How to open your Entry Pass or My QR Code in the Sociana app, show it for scanning at entry or a stall, and what to do when staff report an invalid QR.

1. Tap Entry Pass on Home, or open Profile > My QR Code
2. Pinch to zoom if the staff scanner needs a larger code
3. Hold the phone steady while staff or an exhibitor scans it
4. Wait for the confirmation before moving on

## Good to know

- The same personal QR marks attendance for organisers and lets exhibitors capture you as a lead.
- Raise your screen brightness before you join the queue.

## If something goes wrong

**Invalid QR Code.** Reopen **Profile > My QR Code** and try again; the scanner side may need to allow camera permission.

**The Entry Pass tile is locked.** The pass opens when you register or the organiser unlocks it.

**There is no signal at the gate.** Open the pass before you arrive so it stays on screen.

### Do I need a printout?

Not when the app pass is accepted at your gate, which your invitation should say. Open Entry Pass on Home or Profile, then My QR Code, before you arrive so it stays on screen if there is no signal. Raise your screen brightness before you join the queue and pinch to zoom if the scanner needs a larger code.

### Can someone else use my QR?

It identifies you, so staff may ask for ID, and it is not meant to be shared. The same personal QR marks your attendance and lets exhibitors capture you as a lead, so showing it to someone else would record their scan against you. If it reads Invalid QR Code, reopen Profile, then My QR Code and try again.
