# Configure the look and layout of your app

How organisers set the logo, colours, banners, welcome video, themed labels and Home tile grid of a Sociana occasion app, including tile locks and group scope.

1. Open Look and layout for the occasion
2. Upload the logo, colours, banners and welcome video
3. Rename sections with themed labels such as Show Flow, Programme or Xplore
4. Show, hide, order or lock Home tiles and scope them to groups

## Good to know

- Banners move automatically and attendees swipe to see more, so keep three to five.
- A faded tile with a lock is visible but closed. Tiles you never use are simply not shown.
- A pinned announcement sits under the banners and is the best place for a last-minute change.

## If something goes wrong

**A banner looks cropped.** Use the banner ratio shown beside the upload field and preview on a small phone.

**A renamed label did not change.** Pull down to refresh the attendee app.

**One group sees a tile another does not.** Tile visibility by group is working as set; widen the scope if that is not intended.

## Questions

### Can each group have a different Home?

Tiles can be scoped to groups, so Home can differ between cohorts. If one group sees a tile another does not, visibility by group is working as set; widen the scope if that is not what you intended. A faded tile with a lock is visible but closed, and tiles you never use are simply not shown.

### Is the look set per occasion?

Yes. In a multi-occasion app each occasion keeps its own branding, banners and labels. Keep three to five banners, because they move automatically and attendees swipe to see more. If a renamed label did not change, pull down to refresh the attendee app.
