# Review registrations and approve members

How organisers review sign-up requests for an invite-only app and approve or reject them with a message.

1. Open the registration requests for the occasion
2. Read each request against your guest list
3. Approve or reject, adding a message the person will see
4. Ask an approved member to log in and confirm they land in the right group

- People not on the list see an access message.
- Approved members need a group.

## If something goes wrong

**An applicant was not told the outcome.** Send the decision message or a scheduled notification.

**An approved member cannot log in.** Check that the number or email matches the one they request the OTP with.

### Can I use a whitelist and approvals together?

Yes. The whitelist lets listed people through and approvals handle everyone else. People not on the list see an access message and can be reviewed one by one. Approved members need a group, so check they land in the right one. If an approved member cannot log in, check the number or email matches the one they request the OTP with.

### Is the decision recorded?

Yes, the decision and message are stored with the request. When you approve or reject, add a message the person will see. If an applicant was not told the outcome, send the decision message or a scheduled notification. Ask an approved member to log in and confirm they land in the right group.
