# Send a WhatsApp campaign

How organisers send template-based invitations and reminders through their own WhatsApp provider account once the template is approved.

1. Get the message template approved on the WhatsApp side
2. Connect the organisation provider account and sender
3. Choose the audience, either members or selected groups
4. Send, then read delivered and read status in the provider record

## Good to know

- Messages go from the organisation’s own provider account, not from Sociana.
- Delivered and read counts are the provider record; no delivery figure is promised in the panel.
- Where configured, a fallback message can follow a failed send.

## If something goes wrong

**The template is rejected.** Edit the wording and resubmit it on the WhatsApp side before sending.

**Messages are not delivered.** Check the provider status for opt-in and number problems.

**OTP codes do not arrive over WhatsApp.** Confirm the WhatsApp OTP switch and its fallback are on.

## Questions

### Whose sender number is used?

The organisation’s own WhatsApp provider number. Messages go from the organisation’s own provider account, not from Sociana, so the template approval, opt-in and sender number are all on the organisation’s side. Delivered and read counts are the provider record; no delivery figure is promised in the panel.

### Can tickets and invoices go the same way?

Yes where those message types are set up. Each message type needs its own approved template on the WhatsApp side. A fallback message can follow a failed send where configured. If messages are not delivered, check the provider status for opt-in and number problems before you resend.
