# Set up ticket types and Razorpay

How organisers create ticket types with prices, connect Razorpay, publish a web checkout and let paid tickets unlock sections and the entry pass.

1. Switch on Tickets and create each ticket type with its price
2. Connect the Razorpay account
3. Publish the public checkout link
4. Link ticket holders to access, then buy a test ticket

## Good to know

- A paid ticket adds the buyer to the occasion with the matching role and groups.
- Download Invoice appears once an invoice exists.
- Register Now banners point to the checkout until the person is registered.

## If something goes wrong

**A buyer is still locked out.** Check ticket-linked access is on and refresh the app.

**Payments are not settling.** Check the Razorpay dashboard.

**GST wrong.** Check the billing state captured at checkout.

## Questions

### Can there be free tickets?

Yes. Tickets can show FREE, and a free ticket still adds the buyer to the occasion with the matching role and groups. Create each ticket type with its price, connect the Razorpay account, publish the public checkout link and buy a test ticket before you share the link.

### Do buyers need the app first?

No. The public checkout needs no install, so a buyer can pay from a link. A paid ticket adds the buyer to the occasion with the matching role and groups, and Register Now banners point to the checkout until the person is registered. If a buyer is still locked out, check ticket-linked access is on and refresh the app.
