## How Nachle Dance-off plays

Guests

### On their phones

Pick a side, hold the phone (or tap the beat), dance two eights after the tutorial, then face off, dance together and light the banquet floor in the final eight.

You

### On the host console

Runs the sides and the turns from the console. Turns can be longer, with a star vote.

The room

### On the big screen

An original dance tutorial, then each side’s turn, then the mirrored dance floor lighting under the side that moved best.

**How it ends:** The mirrored floor lights under the side that moved best. A side scores the average of its phones, so a big family does not win by size.

The full description from the games team

An original tutorial plays on the big screen and guests dance holding their phones, whose motion sensors score how well each move lands on the beat. Sides take turns, then dance together at an easier tempo so elders can join, and a final two eights light the mirrored dance floor under the side that moved best. A side scores the average of its phones, so a big family does not win by size. Anyone can dance seated or tap the beat instead. Motion is read on the phone and never leaves it: only the count of beats hit is sent. No camera.

## Ready-made versions by occasion

Each version comes with its own story, wording and look. Pick one to start a free trial with it already set up.

- Wedding
### Sangeet: Ladkiwale vs Ladkewale on the mirrored floor
Preeti teaches two eights, then the families dance side against side holding their phones. Every move on the beat lights a tile under your side; the final eight turns the winning half gold.
On the phones: “Two sides dance holding their phones; each move on the beat lights a tile, and the winning half of the floor turns gold.”

- Offsite
### Annual-day team dance-off
Departments dance side against side on the banquet floor, phones in hand. A side scores its average, so the small team can beat the big one. Winners pick the DJ’s next song.
On the phones: “Departments dance side against side with phones in hand. A side scores its average, so team size never decides it.”

- Conference
### Closing-night party: tracks against tracks
After the summit, each track takes the floor in turn, then everyone dances the final eight together.
On the phones: “A short dance break for the whole room: sides move on the beat, phones count, and the average decides.”

- Campus fest
### Hostel vs hostel at 124 BPM
The fest’s dance-off on the banquet floor: hostels take turns, then the whole floor dances the final eight.
On the phones: “Hostels or departments dance side against side with phones in hand; the average beat score decides, not the crowd size.”

## The story in the demo

Raj & Simran’s sangeet in the banquet hall. Preeti, the choreographer, teaches two eights; Robbie, the DJ, keeps the dhol loop steady; Bauji sits the first round out and dances the second. Each phone counts the beats it moved on and only that count leaves the phone, never a camera. A side scores its average, so the bigger family does not win by size. Dancing seated or tapping the beat scores the same. In the final eight the winning half of the mirrored floor turns gold.

Raj, Simran, Bauji and the rest are an illustrated sample cast, not real people. At your event the same game carries your own names and photos.

## Formats it runs

- **Nachle: the sangeet dance-off, family vs family.** Two families dance side against side holding their phones. Every move on the beat lights a tile on the mirrored banquet floor, and the winning half turns gold. (Every phone · 2 sides · 8 min)
- **Nachle: the annual-day team dance-off.** Departments dance side against side on the banquet floor with phones in hand. A side scores its average, so the small team can beat the big one. (Every phone · 2–4 sides · 8 min)
