Founder & Managing Director, Alien Brains Private Limited
Praveen Kumar Bahety founded Alien Brains Private Limited in Kolkata in 2017 and has led it as managing director since. The company’s main product, Sociana, began as an app for sharing the memories of an occasion and became a platform organisers use to run conferences, partner meets, weddings and year-long programmes, with more than 300 events in six years.
He also leads India’s Super Brain, a competition built on live leaderboards. Its 2021 edition was a coding contest powered by GeeksforGeeks, and its third season ran with the Society for Data Science from 31 October to 2 November 2025. The same idea, a fair live leaderboard that keeps people coming back, runs through Sociana’s games, contests and points.
