For Indian buyers

Is Eventbrite worth it for Indian buyers?

Eventbrite is a ticketing marketplace first and works well for public, discoverable events and free ticketing. It operates in India with local payment processing, but we could not verify its India fee card, and it lists no WhatsApp channel. For a closed corporate or association meet, the ticketing fee is only one part of cost; the app, check-in and engagement need other tools. It is worth it for public ticketed events; check the India rate card on the organiser page before relying on the US figures.

Worth it when

Eventbrite fits

  • public, ticketed events that need consumer discovery and self-serve sales
  • small organisers who want free ticketing for free events

Less of a fit when

Look elsewhere if

  • a closed, invite-only meet where the app, hospitality and games matter more than ticket discovery
  • conferences that need exhibitors, polls, chat and rewards in one participant app

Sociana, for reference

How Sociana prices by comparison

Sociana is our product. It prices per occasion in rupees, with GST extra, and publishes “from” bands rather than a calculator-style total.

per event

Launch

From ₹65,000 + GST. Price moves with headcount above 300 (₹45 per extra person up to 500) and add-ons such as ai session summaries (₹15,000) or team voting (₹20,000).

per event

Ticketed Events

From ₹99,000 + GST. Price moves with number of tickets, which decides flat versus flex (flex reaches the cap at 6,600 tickets) and custom layout and website (flat only) and on-ground scanning staff.

Bands are starting points; the exact figure is quoted after a short brief. See Sociana pricing for the full list. Sociana is not the right fit for pure webinars, venue sourcing or dues-based membership management.
