Is Webex Events (Socio) still available?
Cisco ended the standalone product: support ran to 30 Apr 2025 and access was removed about 90 days later, according to Skift and a Cisco bulletin. The socio.events site still showed a 2024 footer on 19 Oct 2026, and the offering is positioned as part of Webex Suite Enterprise Agreements.
Why do organisers look for a Webex Events alternative?
The cited reason is the licensing change: events moved into Suite Enterprise Agreements and the standalone Socio product was retired, leaving customers to choose a new platform. Webex.com blocks non-browser fetches, so we could not read its current event pages and rely on the socio.events site and press reports.
Where does Webex Events win?
Inside a Webex-standardised enterprise it offered bundled licences, enterprise security listings (SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, ISO/IEC 27001) and a full stack of registration, badges, lead retrieval and streaming. Sociana does not offer badge printing, streaming production or SSO today.
