Weekly pace in detail
A goal is only useful if you can tell whether you are on course. Weekly pace answers that by dividing what remains by the weeks left: if a team has covered a portion of its target by week four of ten, the weekly pace tells it what each remaining week must deliver. Because it updates as steps sync, a bad week raises the pace required and a good week lowers it, which gives participants an honest, forward-looking number rather than a total. For organisers, weekly pace across teams is an early-warning tool. Teams whose required pace has become unrealistic can be offered a boost, a reminder or a reset of expectations before they quietly disengage. It also helps design: if the median required pace exceeds what ordinary participants can sustain, the goal was set too high. Reporting pace by group alongside valid synced days shows where a programme needs help.
How Sociana uses it
Weekly pace is computed from goal, start date, end date and valid synced steps. It appears in wellness views with today, total, average and best-day figures.
Example
A walking expedition showed each team the pace it needed per week to finish its route on time.
