Leadership programme app checklist
A 32-point checklist for a leadership development programme run in cohorts: selecting participants, designing sessions, personalising with Unique Codes, quizzes, reflections and the manager conversations that follow. The key is continuity between sessions.
No sign-up needed.
Who it is for
- HR and L&D leads who run leadership cohorts
- Programme designers who need a reliable launch routine

How to use it
- Pick the cohort and the programme’s three outcomes before designing sessions.
- Issue each participant a personal code so the app knows who they are from the first screen.
- Design a short action between sessions and ask for a reflection in the app.

Informed by a leadership cohort programme where participants entered with a personal code, joined host-paced quizzes and wrote private reflections.
Questions people ask
How private should reflections be?
Private by default. State who can read them, if anyone, and why. Participants share more when they trust that reflections are not used to judge them, and that trust is hard to rebuild.
What makes participants return between sessions?
A short, concrete task, a reminder at a fixed time and recognition from their manager or cohort. Keep each action to fifteen minutes and relate it to their actual work.
How do we measure impact?
Use before and after self-ratings, manager observations after ninety days and a handful of business indicators agreed beforehand. Avoid claiming impact from satisfaction scores alone.
