Try it: generate an I-Am-Attending poster
Make a real I Am Attending poster in your browser: choose a photo or the sample avatar, zoom it into the circle, tap Update Profile Photo and download a 1080 × 1350 PNG with your name and category chips. The organiser side switches the template, background and logo. Your photo is never uploaded; it is drawn on a canvas inside this page.

Your photo stays in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Sample dataRuns in your browser with made-up data. Nothing you tap leaves this page.
Posters use system fonts; the product uses the occasion's own artwork and typefaces · Sharing a file depends on your browser; unsupported browsers download instead · There is no drag-to-reposition crop, only zoom from the centre
Accessibility: The photo control is a labelled button that opens the file picker; both canvases have a text alternative listing the poster's contents; errors use role=alert; download and update confirmations are announced.
Step by step
- Choose a photo. Tap photo to choose from gallery, or Use a sample photo; zoom to fit the circle.
- Update Profile Photo. Saving the photo composes the poster: event art, photo, I’M ATTENDING, name, category chips and footer.
- Try to download too early. Without a saved photo, Download I Am Attending shows “Add a profile photo first, then try again.”
- Download or share. Download I Am Attending saves the PNG; Share uses your phone's share sheet where it supports files.
- Change the template. Control Room: Expo Connect 4.0 or Sociana demos template, three backgrounds, up to three chips, logo on or off.
What happens on each screen
The phone shows the Home pop-up, “Upload Profile Photo & I Am Attending poster”. At the top is an empty dashed circle that reads “Tap photo to choose from gallery”. Activating it opens your device's file picker; on a phone that includes the camera. If you would rather not use your own picture, Use a sample photo draws a plain avatar instead. The picture is read into memory with a temporary object address that is released as soon as it loads; it is never sent anywhere.
Once a photo is chosen, a Zoom slider appears and the circle preview follows it, so a wide photo can be cropped to the face. Update Profile Photo stays disabled until there is a new photo to save. Pressing it confirms with a toast and the poster below fills in. Before that, pressing Download I Am Attending shows the app's own message: “Add a profile photo first, then try again.”
The poster is drawn on a 1080 by 1350 pixel canvas, the portrait size social feeds crop least. From top to bottom it has the event name and dates, concentric rings behind a circular photo with a white border, I’M ATTENDING in large type, the attendee's name, up to three category chips taken from sign-up, and a footer band with a line of text and the logo. The phone shows a small copy of the same canvas; the Control Room shows it larger. Both have a text description for screen readers that lists everything on the poster.
Download I Am Attending saves the PNG through the browser. Share hands the file to the phone's share sheet where the browser supports sharing files; elsewhere it downloads instead and says so. In the product the same download is also available later from Profile and from My Booked Tickets, next to Download Invoice.
The Control Room is the organiser's template editor. The Expo Connect 4.0 template carries a fictional exhibition's name, dates and hall; the Sociana demos template reads “I'm exploring Sociana demos” with the site address, so a visitor can post their own. Background switches between Marigold, Peacock and Night gradients. Name on poster is editable; category chips toggle with a limit of three; Show logo turns the corner mark on or off. Every change redraws the canvas immediately. Reset demo clears the photo from memory.
Questions people ask
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is read into this page's memory and drawn on a canvas. The PNG is created by your browser and saved to your device. Reset demo or closing the tab discards it.
Why does the app ask for a profile photo first?
The poster is built from the attendee's profile photo, so without one there is nothing to place in the circle. The app shows “Add a profile photo first, then try again.” instead of a blank poster.
Can organisers design their own poster template?
Yes. The background, logo, text slots and chip style come from the occasion's template, so every attendee's poster carries the event's branding.
Where else can attendees download the poster?
From Profile at any time, and from My Booked Tickets on ticketed occasions, where it sits next to Download Invoice.
