What is “Moderation queue”?

A moderation queue is the organiser-side list where posts, wishes and contest entries wait for approval before going live in the app or on a screen.

Also called: approval queue, content approval

Moderation queue in detail

Open posting is a risk and an opportunity; the moderation queue is how organisers keep the opportunity. When feed rules require approval, each new post, wish, photo or entry lands in the queue, where a moderator approves, rejects or edits. The same pattern covers social wall candidates, wedding wishes and contest submissions. The queue is only as good as the people watching it, so assign moderators per shift, agree criteria in advance, and set a response target so approved content appears while it is still relevant. Group-aware rules allow different treatment, for example open posting for employees but approval for partners. A queue is also an audit trail: it shows who approved what and when, which helps if content is later questioned. For sensitive occasions, pair moderation with download control and revocable links so approved content is still controlled once published. After the occasion, review rejection reasons for patterns to include in the next brief.

How Sociana uses it

Moderation is a rule on timeline, wishes, social wall and contests. The queue lives in the admin panel and is also reachable by authorised managers.

Example

A wedding app routed wishes through approval before they appeared to the guest list.
