What is “Social wall”?

A social wall is a live display of approved posts, collected from the event app and from chosen hashtags or profiles, shown on venue screens or the web.

Also called: live social feed, hashtag wall

Social wall in detail

A social wall gives the room something to look at that the room created. Posts from the timeline, plus content gathered by hashtag or profile, appear on a large display after the organiser's approval. Because the wall is a venue-screen view, it can run on any laptop connected to the projector. In practice, the discipline is in curation: a moderation queue keeps off-brand or inappropriate material from reaching the screen, a hashtag keeps collection focused, and group rules decide whose posts qualify. At experience-led corporate events a social wall named for the occasion's theme becomes the shared gathering point; at weddings it can collect wishes. It complements photobooth and reels by giving them an audience. Sociana's wall is a display of approved content, not a full social listening tool; organisers should treat third-party platform rules and rate limits as external constraints. Rehearse the wall with test posts to confirm refresh timing.

How Sociana uses it

The wall reads approved posts via the moderation queue and hashtag collection, rendered as a venue screen. Rules cover who can post and what is approved.

Example

An experience-catalogue corporate app used a social wall called Xchange to display participants' posts.
