Venue screen in detail
An event has two audiences in the room at once: people looking at phones and people looking at the stage. The venue screen serves the second. It is a full-screen browser page that the production team casts to a projector or LED wall, showing whatever the moment needs: the live bars of a poll, a word cloud forming from audience answers, the unified leaderboard, a social wall of approved posts, or a countdown to the next segment. Because it reads from the same engine as the app, nothing is retyped; the numbers on the screen are the numbers in the database. Manager-side trigger controls let an emcee start a poll from a phone while the screen reacts. Screens can be opened on any laptop with a browser, which makes rehearsal easy and keeps dependence on specialist hardware low. Production teams should still rehearse stage moments with a fallback.
How Sociana uses it
Venue screens are a distinct surface listed on feature pages such as live polls, word clouds, social wall and leaderboards. They read live results from the same engine as the attendee app.
Example
At a partners meet, plenary poll results and the leaderboard were shown on the big screen while partners voted by QR.
