A no-login poll is a live web poll that an audience answers by scanning a QR code or opening a link, with no app install or sign-in, and whose results can display live on a venue screen.
Also called: login-free poll, public live poll
Sociana runs no-login polls, quizzes and voting from the same engine as the in-app versions, so web and app answers merge into one result and can feed the occasion's unified leaderboard.
Plenary polls at a partner meet show a QR on the venue screen so partners without the app can still vote.
No. They scan the QR code on the venue screen, or open the link, and answer in the phone's browser. There is no app install, no sign-in and no password, which is why it works for guests, partners and visitors who never downloaded the occasion app.
Yes, where the organiser has switched that on. Web answers run on the same engine as the in-app polls, so both kinds merge into one result and can feed the occasion's unified leaderboard. Anonymous votes still count towards the poll totals shown on the venue screen.
Only if the organiser allows it. The usual rule is one vote per device: a second try on the same phone is told it has already voted. That counts devices, not unique people, so for a binding vote such as a juried award, use a logged-in poll with a member list instead.
Our team designs the scoring with you and runs the leaderboard through the event.
