Set rules for posting, downloads and the guest whitelist

How organisers set the posting, gallery download and guest whitelist rules in the admin panel so attendees post, save photos or enter only when you allow it.

  1. Open Rules for the occasion
  2. Decide whether attendees may post to the timeline and reels
  3. Decide whether gallery photos may be downloaded
  4. Upload the whitelist of phone numbers or emails if the app is invite-only

Good to know

  • The + button on Socials appears only when the organisers allow attendees to post. Admins always see it, so test with a guest account.
  • A post needs more than hashtags, so tell guests to add text or a photo.
  • Rules apply per occasion and per module; the posting rule does not govern downloads.

If something goes wrong

Attendees say they cannot post. The posting rule is off, or the Socials tab still carries a padlock.

Download buttons do nothing. The gallery download control is off for the occasion.

An invited person is turned away. Their number or email is missing from the whitelist, or typed differently from the one they used to log in.

Questions

Can guests post but not download?

Yes. Posting and downloading are separate rules, set per occasion and per module. Switch the posting rule on and the gallery download control off, or the other way round. Admins always see the + button on Socials, so test with a guest account to see what guests see.

When do rule changes reach phones?

On the next screen load, so a pull-down refresh is enough. If attendees say they cannot post, check the posting rule and whether the Socials tab still carries a padlock. If an invited person is turned away, their number or email is missing from the whitelist or typed differently from the one they used to log in.
