- Open the occasion in the admin panel and go to Features
- Find the module you want, for example Polls, Notifications or Attendance
- Set it to on, off or not included
- Open the attendee app, pull down to refresh and check the Home tile
Good to know
- Features say what exists, Rules say how it behaves and Look and layout says how it appears. Change them in that order so you can tell which setting caused a surprise.
- A section the organisers have not opened shows a padlock on its tile or tab. Tapping it does nothing until you open it, which makes the padlock a good way to stage a programme.
- Settings belong to one occasion, with organisation-level templates you can reuse for the next one.
If something goes wrong
A tile is still visible after switching it off. Ask the tester to pull down on Home. The app reads the switch board on each load.
A tile is missing after switching it on. Check tile visibility by group under Look and layout; the tile may be scoped to a group the tester is not in.
Admin buttons are missing on Profile. Attendance and Trigger Notifications show only to Owners and Managers, never to guests.
Questions
Does switching a feature off delete its data?
No. Records stay in the panel and reports; only the attendee entry point is hidden. You can switch the feature back on and the data is still there. A tile still visible after switching it off needs the tester to pull down on Home, because the app reads the switch board on each load.
Can one app run different features for different occasions?
Yes. Each occasion keeps its own switch board, and settings belong to one occasion, with organisation-level templates you can reuse for the next one. Change Features first, then Rules, then Look and layout, so you can tell which setting caused a surprise.
