AI as opponent
AI Predictions: who reads the future better?
AI Predictions is a concept activation, built per occasion: the room votes on quick scenarios such as a market move, a customer choice or what happens next, while an AI commits to its own prediction and confidence. When humans are right and the AI is wrong they earn the most, and an event-wide Humans vs AI score builds.
ConceptConcept, built for your event. We scope it, rehearse it with your team and agree a fallback.
The idea
The AI is a rival across the room. Because every vote is a button, it runs for a whole audience with no cameras or microphones, and it fits a keynote break or a sponsor segment. The AI prediction is locked before the vote closes, so nobody can say it saw the answer.
How it runs on event day
- Attendee
- Votes on a phone for each scenario and sees whether the room beat the AI.
- Operator
- Writes scenarios and the answer source, locks the AI prediction before the vote, reveals the result and can void an unclear question.
- LED or venue screen
- The scenario, a vote bar, the AI's locked prediction and confidence, and a Humans vs AI scoreboard.
Inputs and outputs
Inputs
- Scenarios and a known outcome source from the organiser
- Audience votes
Outputs
- AI prediction and confidence
- Humans-versus-AI result per round
- Points to attendees who beat the AI
Moderation and fallback
Human approval. Scenarios and outcomes are organiser-written, the AI prediction is logged before voting closes and an operator can void a question. Nothing is predicted about individuals.
If something fails
- A named operator can pause, skip or replay any round from the admin panel
- If the model is down, the AI side uses a prepared prediction sheet marked as such
- Voting runs without login as in live polls if a login service is slow
Privacy and consent
No camera or microphone is needed. Typed answers and chosen options are stored with the participant record for scoring and reports, and the notice says so. Names and company details appear on a screen only if the organiser switches that on.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the organiser decides the purpose and the retention period, and Sociana configures the consent notice, the withdrawal route and deletion on request. Collect only what a round needs. Details sit on the data protection and AI pages in the trust centre; nothing here is a legal opinion. See responsible AI, data protection and DPDP and Smart Lens and biometric consent.
What drives the cost
Price band: ₹35,000–₹75,000 per activation per occasion, ex-GST (add-on menu). Per-completion model costs are quoted on actuals at proposal; no per-completion rate is published.
- Rounds per day times players per round, since every completion triggers one or more model calls
- Model mix for the round: a language model for one prediction per scenario, so very low per-vote cost
- Number of scenarios; audience size has little effect on model cost
- Peak concurrency, which sets queueing and the number of kiosks or tablets
- Retention of outputs: replays, galleries and downloads add storage and moderation time
- Rehearsal and operator time on site; kiosks, tablets, cameras and LED walls come from the venue or a hardware partner, not from Sociana
Questions people ask
How do we know the AI did not see the answer?
The prediction is generated and logged before voting closes and shown with its confidence. The outcome source is the organiser's own, so the reveal is not left to the model.
Does it need cameras or microphones?
No. It runs on votes from phones, so there is no biometric data. That makes it the lightest AI activation to consent and moderate.
How does it relate to the predictions game?
The predictions game is a human-only format in the library. This adds an AI contestant and a Humans vs AI score. Both carry the concept label where the AI is involved.
