Live poll in detail
Polls turn a one-way presentation into a conversation. A live poll asks one question at a chosen moment, collects answers within seconds and displays the distribution as it forms. In Sociana an emcee or manager triggers the poll from their phone, participants answer in the app or through a public web link, and results can appear on a venue screen. Polls can be scoped to groups, so partners and employees can receive different questions in one room. Points for participation can be awarded, linking polls to the leaderboard. Typical uses are plenary opinion checks, feedback on a keynote, awards voting and quick audience profiling. Good questions are short, have few options and have a purpose the audience can see. Sociana runs polls on screen and in the app; there is no presentation-software add-in, so rehearse the switch between slides and screen. Report poll participation as unique eligible people.
How Sociana uses it
Live polls sit in the polls, quizzes and feedback cluster, triggered by a manager, answered on app or web, and displayed on venue screens.
Example
A partners meet ran plenary polls triggered from a phone and shown on the big screen.
