Occasion template in detail
Organisers repeat themselves: every year's annual meet, every quarter's partner session, every season's wedding has more in common with the last one than not. An occasion template captures that sameness. It stores which features are on, how rules are set, how the home screen is laid out and the content skeleton, so the next occasion begins from a tested starting point instead of a blank admin panel. This is part of how Sociana's delivery model compresses time: configuration is expected in the first days of a roughly ten-day pattern, and reusable setups are an explicit after-event deliverable. Templates also help agencies keep quality consistent across clients, because the structure of a proven app can be cloned while branding, members and content change. A template is not a finished occasion; it carries structure, not people, so members and attendance records always start clean.
How Sociana uses it
Templates live at organisation level in the admin panel. Cloning one gives a new occasion with the same Features, Rules and Look & layout, but empty members and no attendance history.
Example
A recurring programme owner cloned the previous quarter's setup, then updated content and imported a fresh member list.
