Owner and Manager roles in detail
Not every organiser task belongs in the web console. On event day the person with the most context is usually standing in the room with a phone, and Sociana gives that person a role inside the app. Owners and Managers see extra controls on top of the normal attendee screens: scan participants for an attendance activity, start a live poll or quiz at the right moment, send a notification to a group, or approve an AI-drafted session summary before it is published. These roles are assigned per occasion and are deliberately narrower than panel administration, which covers configuration and records on the web. The distinction keeps risk low: an emcee can launch a poll without being able to change the agenda, and a gate volunteer can scan passes without seeing hospitality data. Role scope can also be limited by occasion, so a volunteer from one gathering never touches another.
How Sociana uses it
In the role ladder, Super Admin sits above panel admins, below which come in-app Owners and Managers, then Guests, public web users and partners. Owner and Manager controls appear inside the attendee app.
Example
A conference emcee used a manager role to trigger live polls on cue, while volunteers on the same role scanned passes at session doors.
