Plus-one in detail
Many Indian corporate trips and conclaves invite spouses, and weddings invite households. The plus-one is the way Sociana models the companion: a person tied to a primary member, with separate hospitality needs, such as a room share or a meal preference, and with their own eligibility for activities. This matters operationally. A companion does not usually get a delegate's conference sessions but may attend the gala dinner and the excursion, so attendance rules need to know the difference. They also need pickups, perhaps different ID details and sometimes their own contact details in My Stay. The hospitality workspace handles companion hospitality alongside the primary member, which prevents the classic error in which a spouse is forgotten on the transfer manifest. Organisers should decide early whether companions are paid, how they are admitted and what they can see in the app, and write that into registration review and attendance rules.
How Sociana uses it
Companion hospitality is tracked in the operations workspace; activity eligibility is set through attendance rules and groups, with companions often in a separate group.
Example
A destination conclave planned stays and pickups for companions alongside delegates, so nobody was missing from transfer lists.
