Reward redemption in detail
Redemption is where program design meets the physical world, and it is the step most often fumbled. Sociana's version is simple to describe. The participant selects an item in the app; the system checks the balance, the stock and the per-person limit; a QR is generated; staff scan it at the counter; the wallet is decremented and the redemption is recorded. Because the QR belongs to the participant's single identity, the same person can also hold an entry pass, a contact card and activity QR codes without confusion, as each is a distinct scanning context. The record of who redeemed what and when feeds the occasion's exports, which helps reconcile stock afterwards and defend the cost of the programme. Organisers should brief counter staff on the scanning screen and plan a manual fallback for connectivity gaps. Redemption data can also show which items were popular, informing the next programme.
How Sociana uses it
Redemption is the closing step of the points loop: earn in modules, hold in the wallet, spend in the store, confirm by QR scan, export in reports.
Example
At a corporate culture programme, employees collected rewards by showing a QR that booth staff scanned.
