Sociana + Google Maps
Sociana apps show venue maps by area and a Map link on the home banner, as in the Jaipur conclave and the APMI conference. A map link opens the guest's own maps app; Sociana does not offer an interactive floor plan.

What it does inside Sociana
Sociana has venue maps and seating pages, and case studies show a Venue Map tile on Home and a Map link in the event banner. A map link can open the guest's own maps app. Sociana does not offer an embedded interactive floor plan, a booth map or GPS-based outdoor play.

Data protection (DPDP)
The organiser is the Data Fiduciary and Sociana acts as processor. Ask us for the hosting region and retention period that apply to your occasion; the sub-processor list is on the Sub-processors and integrations page. We do not state a region or retention period on this page.
Security notes
- Opening a map link shares the guest's location with the maps provider under the provider's terms.
- Sociana does not track guest location.
Set-up checklist
- Gather the venue map, hall layout and address.
- Decide whether a map link or an image serves guests better.
- Test the link on iOS and Android.
- Add parking and pickup notes next to the map.
- Share an offline copy for low-signal venues.
Limits, stated plainly
- No interactive floor plan or booth e-commerce.
- No GPS-based missions.
- Whether the Google Maps platform is embedded depends on your app.
- Map links need data signal unless an image is cached.

Questions people ask
Is there an interactive floor plan?
No. Venue maps and seating pages are in the platform; an interactive floor plan or booth map would be a separate build, and we would say so in the proposal.
Does the app track guests on a map?
No. A map link opens in the guest's maps app, under the provider's own location terms.
Can maps work offline?
Some content, such as a phrasebook or protocol guide, stays readable offline once opened. Offline maps depend on how your app is set up.
