Top 10 event apps in India (2026): ranked, with prices and gaps

Ten event apps compared for Indian organisers on rupee billing, store apps, in-person depth and published pricing, checked 19 Oct 2026. Sociana is our product.

Written by Sociana, which is one of the products listed.

Short answer. For a typical Indian in-person organiser we would shortlist Dreamcast for large registrations and on-ground hardware, KonfHub for ticketed community events, and Sociana for closed corporate meets that need a branded store app with hospitality. Global suites such as Cvent and Whova sit lower because most of their pricing is in dollars or hidden behind a quote.

Disclosure. Sociana publishes this guide and is listed once, at position 3 of 10, labelled as our product. We compiled it on 19 Oct 2026 from public vendor pages linked below, without hands-on testing, and nobody paid for a place. Where another product is stronger we say so.

How we chose

  • Rupee and GST billing, or a clearly stated alternative, because it decides who can actually buy.
  • Whether the vendor publishes a price or a pricing model we could cite.
  • Depth for the in-person day: check-in, agenda, polls, exhibitors, games, hospitality.
  • Store app versus progressive web app, and who owns the listing.
  • Fit for the common Indian jobs: annual meets, associations, ticketed community events and dealer meets.

We placed Sociana at position 3. It is the pick for situations such as “closed partner or employee meet with rooms, flights and games”; for the other situations in the table further down, products ranked differently are the better choice. Prices are what vendors publish on 19 Oct 2026, not quotes, and aggregator figures are marked unverified.

Product notes

Dreamcast, position 1

Stronger at: India-founded, with kiosks, badge printing, turnstiles and RFID or NFC on the site, and rupee pricing per registration. Its own site cites a Jaipur festival with facial-recognition check-in as proof of scale.

Weaker for this job: The self-serve plan starts at 1,000 attendees, and we found no hospitality or travel module on its pages, so a 300-person conclave is a poor match.

KonfHub, position 2

Stronger at: The most India-literate pricing page in this set: percentage fees plus GST, UPI settlement and a fee calculator, with a free tier for free tickets.

Weaker for this job: Its event app is a progressive web app, not a store listing, and no games, hospitality or wellness modules appear on its app page.

Sociana (our product), position 3

Stronger at: A branded native app on the client’s own listing, OTP login against a guest list, group-scoped content and per-guest hospitality, delivered by a managed team. With 300+ events over six years.

Weaker for this job: It is configured for you rather than self-serve, publishes packages rather than a calculator, and does not offer badge printing, a public API or SSO.

Zoho Backstage, position 4

Stronger at: A free plan, 0% commission ticketing, floor plans, booth booking and a currency selector that includes rupees, inside a suite that connects to Zoho CRM.

Weaker for this job: White-label is only on the top plan and self-published, and we found no hospitality module listed. Zoho describes WhatsApp event messaging on its site (checked 24 Oct 2026).

Samaaro, position 5

Stronger at: Bengaluru-based, with about fifteen use-case pages including distributor meets, lead assignment, CRM sync and an ROI calculator.

Weaker for this job: Pricing is not published and the attendee app and itinerary tools are positioned as add-ons to a marketing-first platform.

Townscript, position 6

Stronger at: Part of the BookMyShow group, so distribution can help public ticketed events, and it offers an organiser check-in app.

Weaker for this job: We could not read its pricing page, and it is a self-serve ticketing tool rather than a participant app for closed meets.

Nunify, position 7

Stronger at: Three published monthly plans and a 15-day trial, with the full app, gamification and polls on the $99 tier.

Weaker for this job: Priced in dollars with no INR billing found, and no hospitality module. WhatsApp invitations are listed on the Essential plan; OTP login and campaign templates are not described.

Whova, position 8

Stronger at: The most-reviewed attendee app here: 4.8 from about 253,000 US App Store ratings on 19 Oct 2026, with roughly 100 published case studies.

Weaker for this job: Quote-only pricing, a container app by default, US support hours, and no per-guest hospitality.

Eventbrite, position 9

Stronger at: Self-serve in minutes and fully published fees, with a large consumer audience.

Weaker for this job: It stops at the ticket: no polls, games, exhibitors or hospitality after the sale, and India fees were not verified.

Cvent, position 10

Stronger at: Venue sourcing, onsite kiosks, badge printing and a trust page listing ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and PCI DSS Level 1.

Weaker for this job: Quote-only in dollars with per-registration fees that Gartner’s 2026 note flags as hard to predict; overbuilt for one Indian meet.

Which to pick, by situation

If your situation is Consider
1,000+ registrations, kiosks and badges Dreamcast
Ticketed meet-up paid by UPI KonfHub
Closed partner or employee meet with rooms, flights and games Sociana
Already paying for Zoho One Zoho Backstage
Pipeline reporting to a sales head Samaaro
Association conference with a large review base Whova

Where Sociana is not the right pick

Sociana is the wrong pick when you need a self-serve tool today, a public registration page at consumer scale, badge printing, venue sourcing, or attestations such as SOC 2 on the vendor page. For those, use Dreamcast, KonfHub, Eventbrite or Cvent respectively.

FAQ

Which event app is best for an Indian company annual meet?

It depends on what the meet needs. If the priority is a branded store app, OTP login against an employee list and per-person arrangements, Sociana is built for it. If the priority is registration at scale with kiosks and badges, Dreamcast is the stronger fit. Cvent suits global portfolios.

Do Indian event apps charge in rupees?

Some do. Dreamcast, KonfHub and Zoho Backstage publish rupee or INR-selectable pricing; Whova, Cvent, Nunify and Airmeet price in dollars or by quote. We recorded this on 19 Oct 2026 from each vendor page, and it can change.

Is a progressive web app enough for an event?

For ticketing, agenda and simple check-in, often yes. If you need push notifications, health sync, camera features or your own store listing, a native app is the safer choice.

Why is Sociana in your own list?

Because buyers compare it with these products anyway. We list it once, label it as ours, state our criteria and say where others are stronger. Treat our ranking as one opinion and check the sources linked in the table.
