Badge printing in detail
Printed badges still matter in India, where lanyards signal who belongs, which tier a guest is, and which dignitary needs courtesy. They are a separate discipline from entry control. Sociana's access model is the digital QR entry pass, scanned by staff or used for self check-in. It does not print badges on site or connect to badge-printing hardware. Where an occasion needs printed lanyards, organisers typically use a print partner and prepare the names and categories from the exported member list, often with the QR pass as the actual access credential and the printed badge as a visible identifier. That split also keeps the venue gate fast: scanners read the app QR while the badge answers who is this person. Plan the data fields early, since categories, titles and spellings need approval, and keep a reprint process for late additions and name corrections.
How Sociana uses it
Member exports provide names and categories for external printing. Access remains the QR entry pass and attendance rules.
Example
An exhibition relied on app-based entry passes, with any printed lanyards prepared separately from exported data.
