Incentive travel in detail
Incentive travel is the reward end of MICE: qualifiers earn a trip, and the organiser's job is to keep them engaged before, during and after it. Typical Indian destinations include Bangkok, Phuket, Dubai, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, announced in a financial-year-end contest and travelled months later. The long gap is where an app earns its place. Sociana runs the qualification period as a step or activity challenge with individual and team leaderboards, collects passport and visa documents inside the app, then switches to trip agenda, venue details and SOS contacts when the group travels. Hospitality publishing shows each traveller their flights and room without the organiser phoning two hundred people. Sociana does not book travel or hold hotel inventory, so the travel desk or agency books and the app publishes what they confirm. Budgets for such trips are usually set by sales or channel heads, so describe outcomes in their terms: qualifiers motivated, documents complete, nobody lost at the airport.
How Sociana uses it
Incentive journeys combine a step or activity challenge, document collection, trip agenda, team chat and SOS. Flights and stays are imported from the travel desk, not booked in Sociana.
Example
An incentive programme kept qualifiers engaged with a synced step challenge and team leaderboards, then collected travel documents in the app before a Dubai journey.
