No-login voting in detail
Awards nights and audience choices need quick, broad participation. No-login voting lets anyone in the room, or anyone with the link, cast a vote in a browser. The organiser sets the question or the nominee list, the voting window and the protections against repeat votes, such as one vote per device or per code, and results can be shown on a venue screen or held until the reveal. Because nothing is installed, turnout is limited by attention, not setup. The trade-off is identity: anonymous votes carry less assurance than authenticated ones, so for a formal or high-stakes outcome the organiser might require login or a code. Sociana's awards and nominations capability covers the wider flow, including nomination and recognition. As with all public flows, be clear about what counts as a vote, publish the closing time and decide in advance how ties and disputes will be resolved. Rehearse on stage with a fallback.
How Sociana uses it
No-login voting is a public web flow sharing the live polls engine, with duplicate-protection options and venue-screen display.
Example
An awards segment can show a QR so the audience votes live without installing the app.
