Occasion code in detail
A multi-event app hosts several occasions, and the participant needs a way to land in the right one. The occasion code is that key. The organiser shares a short code or a QR on invitations, emails or a venue sign; the participant opens the app, enters the code and joins the occasion, after which the occasion's own branding, content and rules apply. Associations, agencies and community programmes favour this model because one installed app serves many gatherings, while a code keeps each private or semi-private. It differs from a personal attendee code, which identifies one person; the occasion code is shared by many. Depending on the occasion's identity rules, entering the code may be sufficient to join, or may start registration, whitelist matching or an approval request. Treat the code like a password if the occasion is closed, and refresh it when circulation widens beyond the intended audience.
How Sociana uses it
Codes are generated per occasion and shown in the admin panel, with QR variants for printing. Used in multi-event apps and by agency clients.
Example
An agency app let guests join each client occasion by entering a code or scanning a QR.
