Sociana + CSV import & export
Sociana imports member lists by CSV and exports reports for activities, games, scores, steps, hospitality and tickets. It is the dependable, no-integration route: bring a participant sheet in, take attendance and scoring out. CSV is also how tickets from other platforms and rooming lists can be brought into an occasion.

What it does inside Sociana
Member imports load profile fields such as employee ID, city, zone and category tags, so groups and permissions are ready before launch. Reports and exports cover activities, games, scores, steps, hospitality and tickets, and every module has an export under managed delivery. Ticket lists can come in from KonfHub, Eventbrite or Backstage CSVs.

Data protection (DPDP)
The organiser is the Data Fiduciary and Sociana acts as processor. Ask us for the hosting region and retention period that apply to your occasion; the sub-processor list is on the Sub-processors and integrations page. We do not state a region or retention period on this page.
Security notes
- Downloaded CSVs leave Sociana's controls; store and delete them per your policy.
- Role-based access to exports is configured in the admin panel.
Set-up checklist
- Download the template or share your sheet so columns can be mapped.
- Clean duplicates, phone formats and spellings before import.
- Import into a test occasion and check groups and logins.
- Re-import deltas for late changes rather than editing in place.
- Schedule exports, and agree where they are stored afterwards.
Limits, stated plainly
- Import quality is only as good as the sheet; bad phone numbers become failed logins.
- CSV carries personal data in plain text; protect the files.
- No guarantee of lossless conversion from another platform's export.

Questions people ask
What fields can I import?
Profile fields such as employee ID, city, zone and category tags, plus group and role. The exact column list is mapped during set-up so that your sheet does not need renaming.
Can I bring in ticket lists from another platform?
Yes, as CSV rows that become members. Sociana is not a ticketing marketplace, so the tickets themselves are issued by the platform you came from or by Sociana.
Do exports include every module?
Under managed delivery every module has an export, including activities, games, scores, steps, hospitality and tickets. Ask for the column list for your modules before you commit to a report format.
