AI as event-aware character

AI Game Master: the host that runs the programme

AI Game Master is a concept activation, built per occasion: one AI host runs a multi-game programme across the occasion, announcing rounds, narrating results, nudging teams and keeping the unified leaderboard lively. It is the event-aware character that ties the other activations together, with an operator holding the controls.

ConceptConcept, built for your event. We scope it, rehearse it with your team and agree a fallback.

The idea

The AI is the host that never gets tired. It knows the day's schedule and the scores and speaks as a named character, so a long programme feels like one story. It can announce a winner, tease the next round or remind a team that a game closes soon.

How it runs on event day

Attendee
Gets lines in the app and on the venue screen from the game master, and can ask it for the standings or the next round.
Operator
Writes the character brief and the allowed topics, approves announcement templates and can mute or take over at any time.
LED or venue screen
The game master's announcements, standings and next-round teasers.

Inputs and outputs

Inputs

  • The occasion's agenda and game schedule
  • Leaderboard standings
  • A character brief and allowed topics

Outputs

  • In-character announcements and nudges
  • Answers about the schedule and standings
  • Standings commentary for the screen

Moderation and fallback

Human approval. The character speaks from approved templates and the occasion's own facts, so it cannot invent prizes or times. Scheduled announcements can pass an operator first, and a human host can mute it at any moment.

If something fails

  • A named operator can pause, skip or replay any round from the admin panel
  • If the model is down, the same lines run from scheduled announcements the organiser pre-wrote
  • The venue screen falls back to the plain leaderboard

Privacy and consent

No camera or microphone is needed. Typed answers and chosen options are stored with the participant record for scoring and reports, and the notice says so. Names and company details appear on a screen only if the organiser switches that on.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the organiser decides the purpose and the retention period, and Sociana configures the consent notice, the withdrawal route and deletion on request. Collect only what a round needs. Details sit on the data protection and AI pages in the trust centre; nothing here is a legal opinion. What drives the cost

Price band: ₹35,000–₹75,000 per activation per occasion, ex-GST (add-on menu). Per-completion model costs are quoted on actuals at proposal; no per-completion rate is published.

  • Rounds per day times players per round, since every completion triggers one or more model calls
  • Model mix for the round: a language model with retrieval over the schedule and scores
  • Announcements per hour and any spoken voice
  • Peak concurrency, which sets queueing and the number of kiosks or tablets
  • Retention of outputs: replays, galleries and downloads add storage and moderation time
  • Rehearsal and operator time on site; kiosks, tablets, cameras and LED walls come from the venue or a hardware partner, not from Sociana

Questions people ask

Can the game master say something wrong about the schedule?

It speaks from the occasion's own agenda and scores through retrieval, and from approved templates. Announcements that matter can pass an operator first, and a human can mute it.

Is it a chatbot?

It is a character with a job: announce, nudge and narrate. A chat for questions is possible, but the value is the programme running itself while the team is busy.

Does it replace the emcee?

No. A human host remains in charge and can take over at any time. The game master supports the host, especially across long multi-game days.
