How a Sociana offsite runs
Before
- We theme the app to your destination and set up teams.
- People sign in, upload documents and see their travel details.
- A pre-trip challenge or teaser games can start a week or two early.
On the day
- Teams walk, hunt and play; every activity adds to the leaderboard.
- The agenda and announcements keep everyone on the same bus.
- Posts on the story wall build up through the days.
After
- The final leaderboard and badges stay in the app.
- You get participation by team and by activity.
- Photos and posts remain for people to revisit.

Questions about cultural offsites and team activations
Do the treasure hunts need GPS?
No. Hunts use QR codes or AR cards placed around the venue. At The Jharokha Sangam, teams found 50 hidden cards in an AR hunt.
Which phones count steps?
Steps sync through Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. We do not connect to Fitbit or Garmin directly.
Can games be themed to our destination?
Yes. Puzzles, badges and the step route can be built around the place and your theme, as the Jaipur palace walk and medallions were.
Can the challenge start before we travel?
Yes. HSBC’s YEC ran an eight-week pre-trip season of team challenges and steps before the group flew to Dubai.
