Accessibility and app stores

We design this website, the web pages and the event apps to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we publish every iOS app under Alien Brains Private Limited, the company behind Sociana.

Accessibility

  • Colour pairs checked against WCAG contrast targets.
  • Prices, forms and FAQs that work without JavaScript, and visible keyboard focus.
  • A typeface chosen so codes and PINs are easy to read.
  • India’s Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 is the frame we work to; for government events we can add notes against the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW 3.0) on request.
  • Found a problem? Email hello@sociana.in with “Accessibility” in the subject.

App stores

  • Apple App Store: about 23 live apps under seller Alien Brains Private Limited.
  • Google Play: around 20 listings, some under an older developer account named “nirvaan” that we are moving to the company’s name.
  • We show only the official store badges, and only real store ratings from listings that display them.

FAQ

Common questions

Is the Sociana website WCAG compliant?

We design to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. A formal third-party audit has not been completed yet; we fix anything you report within a release.

Why does a Sociana Android app show a different developer name?

Some Android apps are published under an older developer account named “nirvaan”. We are moving them to an account in the name of Alien Brains Private Limited.
