A 25-minute tambola host script with rhyming number calls

This is a 25-minute script for hosting tambola on Sociana Play, where each guest plays on a phone ticket scanned from a QR code, up to 500 players per game. Read the lines below as written or make them your own; the game runs 25 to 45 minutes and you can rehearse it free on the 2-hour hosted trial at play.sociana.in/try. Last updated 2 Nov 2026. The server checks every claim, so your job is the voice: warm up the room, call the numbers with a rhyme, and make each prize a small moment. The rhymes below are traditional-style samples; Sociana Play can also write 90 calls about your own event.

Written for you, the family or host planning your own event. 5 games, each playable in your browser from this page.

The 25-minute script

Minute 0 to 3, opening: “Namaste, everyone! Phones out, scan the QR on the screen, and your ticket appears. Nothing to download. Get settled; in two minutes we play tambola!”

Minute 3 to 5, rules in one breath: “Numbers come up on the big screen; tap the ones on your ticket, or let the phone auto-mark; shout Jaldi Five for the first five, then Top, Middle, Bottom lines, Four Corners, and finally Full House. Claim on your phone; the system checks it, and a wrong claim is a polite bogey.”

Minute 5 to 15, number calls: “Kelly’s eye, number 1!” “Lucky seven, number 7!” “Legs eleven, number 11!” “Unlucky for some, number 13!” “Do chhote bachche, 22!” “Halfway there, number 45!” “Clickety click, 66!” “Two little crutches, 77!” “Two fat ladies, 88!” “Top of the house, number 90!”

Claim checks: “Hold on, someone has claimed Jaldi Five! Let the screen check it... confirmed! Give them a hand!” If wrong: “Oh, a bogey! Back to your tickets, game on!” If tied: “Two claims at once, so the prize is shared.”

Minute 15 to 22, prize moments: after each win, call the winner up, say their name, hold the prize for a beat, then restart: “Next up, the Top Line!” Keep it to 30 seconds per prize.

Minute 22 to 25, close: “And that was Full House! Thank you for playing, give yourselves a round of applause, and one more cheer for the winners. Tambola night, done!”
