How Tota-ji’s Chase plays
On their phones
Every phone answers. The room’s poll is the lifeline and the fastest right finger carries the lamp and locks the next answer.
On the host console
Starts the chase. The AI writes the ladder from your story, staff guide or product sheet in one call; versions cover a sangeet, a staff guide chase at a conference, a product-knowledge chase and a health-myth chase.
On the big screen
The stepwell, with right answers lighting the next step and Tota-ji’s card pulled further out the surer he is. A drumroll plays before every reveal, and he squawks “Pakka-pakka?” before the answer locks.
How it ends: Each time Tota-ji lands on the room’s step he snatches half the escape prize. Reach the rim first and he sulks.
The full description from the games team
A quiz show where the whole room is one team against Tota-ji, a cut-paper parrot. Every phone answers; the room’s poll is the lifeline, the fastest right finger carries the lamp and locks the next answer, and a drumroll plays before every reveal. Right answers light the next step up the stepwell; Tota-ji answers too and pulls his card further out the surer he is. Each time he lands on the room’s step he snatches half the escape prize; reach the rim first and he sulks. AI writes the ladder from your story, staff guide or product sheet in one call.
Ready-made versions by occasion
Each version comes with its own story, wording and look. Pick one to start a free trial with it already set up.
- Wedding
Tota-ji’s Chase — Raj & Simran’s sangeet
The farmhouse stepwell, its frieze painted with the couple’s story. The family climbs it chapter by chapter, from the missed train in Zurich to the mandap, with the mela parrot who claims he knew all along.
On the phones: “Climb the stepwell of the couple’s story together and stay ahead of Tota-ji, the parrot who says he knows them better.”
- Conference
Tota-ji’s Chase — the staff guide chase
300 delegates climb the atrium staircase of the company tower, floor by floor, answering questions the AI writes from your staff guide and the event. Tota-ji wears a lanyard and claims he read every deck.
On the phones: “The whole hall climbs to the rooftop one question at a time; the parrot with the lanyard climbs after you.”
- Offsite
Tota-ji’s Chase — offsite edition
The team climbs a beach stepwell in Goa, one in-joke at a time. Tota-ji claims he knows the team better than the People team does; the room has to prove him wrong before the bonfire.
On the phones: “One team, one stepwell, one parrot: climb to the bonfire one in-joke at a time.”
- Exhibition
Tota-ji’s Chase — product-knowledge chase
At the stall, visitors race a parrot who has memorised the brochure: six quick steps about your products, written by AI from your product sheet. Reach the rim first for the prize draw; contact capture is optional.
On the phones: “Six quick steps about the products at the stall; beat the parrot who memorised the brochure to the prize.”
- Launch
Tota-ji’s Chase — launch night
Dealers, press and creators climb from the garage where it began to the reveal on stage, one spec at a time. Tota-ji has seen the spec sheet; the room has seen the scooter.
On the phones: “Launch night: climb from the garage to the reveal one spec at a time, ahead of the parrot.”
- Campus fest
Tota-ji’s Chase — fest edition
The main-stage quiz of the college fest: the whole hall climbs past the hostels and the exam hall to the stage, racing a parrot who got in without a wristband.
On the phones: “Main stage: the whole hall climbs one question at a time, racing a parrot who got in without a wristband.”
The story in the demo
Raj & Simran’s sangeet at the farmhouse. Chutki hired Tota-ji, the fortune-teller’s parrot from the mela, who claims he knew about Zurich before anyone. The ladder: the missed train, the mandolin, Simran’s diary, Chutki taking Raj’s side, Bauji’s pigeons, Kuljeet, Pops’ “jeete raho”, the mandap in the mustard fields.
Raj, Simran, Bauji and the rest are an illustrated sample cast, not real people. At your event the same game carries your own names and photos.
