How Mithai Maze plays

Guests

On their phones

One guest is the muncher and swipes on their phone to eat every sweet. Everyone else belongs to one of four helpers and taps an arrow to vote where that helper runs next.

You

On the host console

Starts each turn and rotates the muncher seat. Versions suit weddings, festivals, offsites, campus fests, expos (a brand maze) and wellness days.

The room

On the big screen

The maze with the muncher, the four helpers following the room’s latest votes, and a power sweet that turns the tables for a few seconds.

How it ends: Each turn is one level of the story: the halwai’s counter, the mehendi courtyard, the baraat lane. The muncher seat rotates every turn. There is no AI.

The full description from the games team

One guest is the muncher and swipes on their phone to eat every sweet in a maze on the big screen. Everyone else is the kitchen crew: the room is split between four helpers (Lajjo, Bauji, Chutki and Pops at a wedding), and each guest taps an arrow to vote where their helper runs next. The helper follows the votes of the last moment, so the whole room becomes one funny, clumsy opponent. A power sweet turns the tables for a few seconds. The muncher seat rotates every turn, one level of the story each: the halwai’s counter, the mehendi courtyard, the baraat lane. Versions for weddings, festivals, offsites, campus fests, expos (a brand maze) and wellness days. No AI needed.

On the phones: “One hungry guest raids the wedding mithai; the rest of the room steers the kitchen crew to catch them.”

On the phones: “One guest raids the festival sweets; the room steers the mela crew after them. A phuljhadi makes everyone look up.”

  • Offsite

A client sent forty boxes of soan papdi and nobody has ever finished one. One colleague tries; the rest of the team steers Finance, the office manager, Sales and People to stop them. Teams by department.

On the phones: “One colleague raids the pantry; the rest of the team steers the crew to stop them. Teams by department.”

  • Campus fest

The Canteen Jamun Run — fest edition

Fest week: one student is raiding the canteen’s gulab jamun and the rest of the college steers the warden, the dean, the senior and the fest secretary. Cutting chai at 2 am makes the wardens drowsy. Hostels as teams.

On the phones: “One student raids the canteen’s gulab jamun; the rest of the college steers the wardens. Hostels as teams.”

  • Exhibition

The Brand Maze — booth edition

Your brand’s coins fill the maze and your logo is the power box. One visitor collects; the crowd at the booth steers the expo crew. Contact capture for the prize, the best muncher wins.

On the phones: “Your brand’s coins fill the maze and your logo is the power box: one visitor munches, the crowd at the booth steers.”

The story in the demo

Raj & Simran’s sangeet at the farmhouse. The laddoos are for after the pheras; Lajjo guards the kitchen, Bauji the courtyard, Chutki the baraat lane and Pops the midnight kitchen, and gajar halwa makes the muncher brave.

Raj, Simran, Bauji and the rest are an illustrated sample cast, not real people. At your event the same game carries your own names and photos.

Questions people ask

What do the people who are not the muncher do?

They vote. The room is split between four helpers, and each guest taps an arrow to say where their helper runs next, so the whole room becomes one clumsy opponent.

Does Mithai Maze need AI?

No.

How long does Mithai Maze take?

About 10–20 minutes per game (4 rounds by default, 60 s each). A sangeet or mehendi, a Diwali evening, an offsite pantry round or a booth at an expo.

How many people can play Mithai Maze?

10+ recommended, up to 300 phones, solo or in teams. Everyone plays on their own phone at the same time.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests scan a QR code and play in the phone browser. The big screen is a web page on any laptop connected to the LED wall, projector or TV, and the host runs it from a console on a phone or laptop.

Can Mithai Maze carry our names, photos and branding?

Yes. At a wedding it carries the couple’s names, photos, monogram and hashtag (never sponsors); at a company event your logo, colours, values and team names; at a booth your product and brand. We set it up with your content before the day.

Is the AI real in the free trial?

The trial runs on simulated AI so it is free and instant, and every trial screen says so. At your event the game runs on real AI with your own content. Trials last 2 hours, up to 12 an hour from one network.

How is Mithai Maze priced for an event?
