How Super Over plays

Guests

On their phones

The guest on strike swipes on their phone as the ball reaches the bat; timing and angle make it a dot, a four or a six. The fielding side votes yorker, bouncer or slower ball, and everyone else predicts the ball.

You

On the host console

Starts the match and sets the sides: teams such as Ladkewale XI vs Ladkiwale XI or department vs department, or the room against the cast’s XI.

The room

On the big screen

A cartoon bowler running in, the swipe result as a dot, a four or a six, and the score as each side bats an over through the gully, the maidan and a floodlit final over.

How it ends: Both sides have batted their over in each setting and the higher score takes the Cup. There is no AI cost.

Ready-made versions by occasion

Each version comes with its own story, wording and look. Pick one to start a free trial with it already set up.

  • Wedding

    Ladkewale XI vs Ladkiwale XI

The groom’s side and the bride’s side settle who dances first at the sangeet: one ball each, the other side picks the delivery, every phone calls the shot. From the haveli courtyard to the mandap under fairy lights.

On the phones: “Bride’s side vs groom’s side, one ball each. The other side picks the delivery; the losers dance first.”

  • Offsite

    Department League

Every department bats an over: Sales, Tech, Ops and Design chase each other’s totals from the parking-lot gully to the floodlit resort turf. The other department picks the delivery; everyone calls the ball.

On the phones: “Every department bats one over and the other side picks the ball. Top total takes the trophy.”

  • Conference

    Delegates’ Cup

Between sessions, the tracks play a super over: one ball per delegate, the other track picks the delivery, the hall predicts every ball. Keynote-stage lights for the final over.

On the phones: “Track against track between sessions: one ball per delegate, and the hall calls every ball.”

  • Exhibition

    The Sponsored Over

A brand-sponsored over at the stall: each visitor faces one ball against the cast’s XI, the crowd calls it, and every six is a sponsor’s maximum on the big screen. Optional contact capture for the prize.

On the phones: “Face one ball at the stall. Hit a six and the sponsor’s board lights up.”

  • Festival

    Mohalla Cup

Block against block at the mela: the lane behind the sweet shop, the mela ground, then the final over under the lantern strings. The other block picks the delivery; every phone calls the ball.

On the phones: “Block against block at the mela, one ball each, the final over under the lanterns.”

  • Campus fest

    Hostel vs Day Scholars

The oldest rivalry on campus, settled in one super over: corridor cricket, then the main ground, then fest night under the floodlights. The other side picks the ball; the whole fest calls it.

On the phones: “Hostel against day scholars in one super over. The other side picks the ball and the fest calls it.”

The story in the demo

Raj & Simran’s sangeet at the farmhouse. The two families settle who dances first with a super over: Chutki keeps the score in chalk, Bauji umpires and says no first, Kuljeet bowls the way he drives his jeep.

Raj, Simran, Bauji and the rest are an illustrated sample cast, not real people. At your event the same game carries your own names and photos.

How to run Super Over at your event

  1. Pick the version. Choose the wedding version or another occasion’s, then add your names, photos, questions and colours.
  2. Put up the big screen. Open the big-screen link in any browser on the laptop connected to the LED wall, projector or TV.
  3. Guests join. Guests scan the QR code on the screen or on table cards and play in the phone browser. No app, no sign-up.
  4. Run it from the console. Starts the match and sets the sides: teams such as Ladkewale XI vs Ladkiwale XI or department vs department, or the room against the cast’s XI.
  5. The finish. Both sides have batted their over in each setting and the higher score takes the Cup. There is no AI cost.

Trying it now? Join on two phones on different sides and start from a phone: pick a delivery on one, swipe on the other as the ball reaches the ring, and the big screen shows the shot.

Questions people ask

Does Super Over need a cricket fan in every team?

No. Only the guest on strike swipes; the fielding side votes on the delivery and every other phone predicts the ball, so non-players still have a part in each ball.

Does Super Over use AI?

No. It runs with no AI cost.

How long does Super Over take?

About 10–25 minutes per game. After dinner at a sangeet, an offsite evening, a hostel fest or a society mohalla night.

How many people can play Super Over?

8+ recommended, up to 500 phones, solo or in teams. Everyone plays on their own phone at the same time.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests scan a QR code and play in the phone browser. The big screen is a web page on any laptop connected to the LED wall, projector or TV, and the host runs it from a console on a phone or laptop.

Can Super Over carry our names, photos and branding?

Yes. At a wedding it carries the couple’s names, photos, monogram and hashtag (never sponsors); at a company event your logo, colours, values and team names; at a booth your product and brand. We set it up with your content before the day.

Is the AI real in the free trial?

The trial runs on simulated AI so it is free and instant, and every trial screen says so. At your event the game runs on real AI with your own content. Trials last 2 hours, up to 12 an hour from one network.

How is Super Over priced for an event?

Per occasion, by the games chosen, the number of screens and the days on site. Send the date, city and rough guest count with the form on this page, and we reply with an itemised quote within one working day.
