How Phool Barsaat plays

Guests

On their phones

Send a one-line blessing from the phone (elders mark theirs), watch the petals fall, then see the chaadar lift and the great shower.

You

On the host console

Lets each blessing through, closes the blessings and taps Chaadar to start the finale.

The room

On the big screen

Marigold petals (rose petals from elders) turning, spiralling down and heaping at the foot of a carved portrait frame in a marigold mandap.

How it ends: Every petal lifts into one woven sheet over the frame, holds, then lets go in the great shower. The couple also get a petal book. Petals show on the big screen only.

The full description from the games team

A stage moment for weddings, anniversaries and tributes. Guests write one line from their phones; the host lets it through and it becomes a marigold (or, from an elder, rose) petal that turns, spirals down and heaps at the foot of a carved portrait frame in a marigold mandap. The host closes blessings and taps Chaadar: every petal lifts into one woven sheet over the frame, holds, then lets go in the great shower. Petals show on the big screen only.

Ready-made versions by occasion

Each version comes with its own story, wording and look. Pick one to start a free trial with it already set up.

  • Wedding

Wedding reception — a petal from every guest

At the reception every guest blesses Raj and Simran in one line; each becomes a petal over their portrait, then the chaadar lifts and the shower falls.

  • Festival

Silver jubilee — grandchildren bless the couple

At the family get-together for 25 years, everyone sends a line; grandchildren’s blessings fall in rose.

On the phones: “The family sends a line each for an anniversary; grandchildren’s blessings fall in rose over the couple’s portrait.”

  • Offsite

Retirement tribute — petals of thanks for Pops

Colleagues write a line of thanks; each is a white or rose petal over the honouree’s portrait, then the chaadar lifts.

  • Conference

Lifetime award — a felicitation in petals

Delegates thank a consented honouree in one line each; the sheet of petals lifts over their portrait at the award.

  • Campus fest

Farewell to a professor — thank-yous in petals

Students send one line each for a retiring professor; the shower falls around the portrait on the last day.

On the phones: “Students send one line each for a retiring professor; the petals fall around the portrait on the last day.”

The story in the demo

Raj & Simran’s reception. Lajjo invites a line from every guest; Bauji gives the last blessing and says that is all; the shower follows.

Raj, Simran, Bauji and the rest are an illustrated sample cast, not real people. At your event the same game carries your own names and photos.
