18 event app examples from India: what each one did and what to copy

Eighteen Indian event apps built on Sociana, from partner meets to weddings and step challenges, with one idea to borrow from each.

These are 18 event apps from India, all built on Sociana, covering partner meets, conferences, conclaves, weddings, offsites, wellness programmes and agency apps. We chose 18 apps from our latest 20 to 25 events; they are our latest work, not all of it, since Sociana has run 300+ events over six years. Each entry says what the app did and the one idea worth borrowing, whichever platform you use.

Disclosure. Every example is a Sociana client, so this is a portfolio, not a neutral survey. Examples are described from the apps as we built them. One, a wedding, has not happened yet, and we say so. For an independent comparison of vendors, see our best event apps in India.

How to read the list

The entries are grouped by what the event was. Each has a link to the full case study. We give no outcome figures here, because none of these pages carries activation or participation numbers with denominators yet; see our note on participation rates for why we hold back.

Partner, dealer and corporate meets

HCCB Partners Meet 2026, Goa (July 2026)

A cinematic film theme carried through a Show Flow agenda, flights and accommodation for travelling partners, awards and a reel, a photo-finder gallery, live polls and Bingo, Trivia and Who-Am-I games. Content was scoped separately for partners and employees. Borrow: one app, two audiences, with group-scoped content. Case study.

Lakshya 26, Zydus Wellness Annual Conference (January 2026)

A deliberately simple app: email OTP sign-in, a room number shown in the Home header the moment it was allotted, quizzes switched on live from the stage and a memories gallery. Day one ran on Friday 16 January 2026. Borrow: simplicity. Do three things well. Case study.

Tiger15, Tiger Analytics

Tech booths, Culture games and a rewards counter on one QR pass. Employees earned points on a live league, booth owners scanned visitors into leads, marshals scored offline games and the rewards desk redeemed against stock. Borrow: one identity across entry, points, leads and rewards. Case study.

Unstoppable NAMI, NAM India Annual Strategy Meet (3 to 5 April 2026, Lonavala)

Employee code, city and zone captured at registration, a resort venue guide with an AV tour, a quiz and live polls, a line to leadership and document collection through a hospitality profile. Borrow: capture zone and city at registration so reports split cleanly later. Case study.

Conferences, conclaves and associations

GCOO Conclave 2026, Jaipur (9 to 11 October 2026)

Each delegate’s My Stay and View My Journey cards, PNR and arrival reconciliation behind the scenes, a help desk, a Jaipur Bazaar guide, a networking card and session feedback. Borrow: the card is for the delegate; the spreadsheet is the source behind it. Case study.

APMI Annual Conference, Mumbai (30 September 2026)

The Association of Portfolio Managers in India’s 3rd Annual Conference added self-service booking and Razorpay payment of meeting-room slots, with a per-guest booking cap. Borrow: a cap per guest keeps scarce slots fair. Case study.

EEMA Connect

The official app for every occasion run by the Event & Entertainment Management Association: sign in once, land in your occasion, with a hospitality hub, exhibitor stalls, awards, games and AI-drafted session summaries that members read only after organisers approve them. Borrow: a persistent member app, and human approval on AI content. Case study, and our guide to approving AI summaries.

SAREX-26 (Indian Coast Guard maritime SAR workshop), Bhubaneswar (6 to 8 October 2026)

Delegate ID and PIN login, cab, liaison-officer and hotel details on Home, a one-tap SOS, a phrasebook, Bingo and cached reading for low-connectivity venues. Borrow: design for the people without a registered phone and the rooms without signal. Case study.

Bengaluru Wedding Fraternity Meet Up 4.0, Bengaluru (18 July 2026)

A trade meet for wedding planners, decor designers, photographers, venues and caterers. Each exhibitor got a My Stall dashboard to scan visitors and capture leads, while paid delegates unlocked networking, tickets and invoices. It ran on Saturday 18 July 2026 at The Grand Castle, Palace Grounds. Borrow: give exhibitors their own dashboard, not an export after the show. Case study.

Recurring communities and agencies

Nirvaan

The lightest multi-occasion app: log in once, see every occasion you belong to as a card, join with a code or QR and read updates in one inbox, while organisers mark attendance by scanning a QR or typing an email or phone. Borrow: a card per occasion beats a new app per occasion. Case study.

Occasion Xperts

An events agency running weddings, conferences, offsites and reunions from one branded app. Guests join each occasion with a code or QR and see its own colours, sections and hospitality details. Borrow: agencies should reuse one app across clients. Case study.

Programmes and engagement

Integrity Champ, Carlsberg India

A recurring ethics and compliance ambassador programme on a multi-occasion app: employees submit proof against contests, managers approve from their phones, approved work earns points and quarterly leaderboards rank the cycle. The page describes the mechanism only. Borrow: persistent programmes need approvals, not just points. Case study.

Growth Code, “Making INM Future Ready”

A leadership cohort app with a Talk To Your Future Self AI avatar, host-paced timed quizzes, session feedback, private reflections and a branded Growth Selfie, entered with a unique code or OTP. It ran in 2026. Borrow: private reflection beside public leaderboards. Case study.

enGen X 2026, Chennai and Hyderabad (August to September 2026)

A multi-city corporate experiences programme: a This is me confirmation, an AI avatar from ten personas, city-based activities booked against live capacity and entry, exit and merchandise scans on one QR. It ran from 18 August to 30 September 2026 across Chennai and Hyderabad. Borrow: live capacity on bookable activities. Case study.

Wellness, offsites and incentive travel

HSBC Wellness Expedition (1 September to 15 October 2026)

A team walking programme with steps from Apple Health or Health Connect, streaks, a team target, a journey to the finale, badges and team chat. Borrow: a journey metaphor makes a daily target feel like progress. Case study.

The Jharokha Sangam, Jaipur (25 to 27 September 2026)

A team offsite where walking became a five-huddle Palace Walk, hidden cards formed an AR hunt called Lukka-Chippi and every game was themed to the place. Borrow: theme the activity to the venue. Case study.

YEC 2024

An incentive programme that kept qualifiers engaged before a journey to Dubai: a synced step challenge, puzzles, team chat and polls, with in-app document collection for travel. Borrow: use the pre-trip months, not only the trip. Case study.

Weddings

The Tanvi & Rutwik wedding app (Pune; planned, not yet run)

A three-day celebration whose guest app collects travel and ID details per guest, publishes flights, hotel and transport back and runs a 75-day calendar of games and prompts between the two sides of the family. Borrow: start the games before the wedding, not at it.

Patterns across the 18

  • Hospitality is the heavy lift. GCOO, SAREX, NAMI, YEC and the wedding all hinge on per-person arrangements.
  • Groups matter more than features. HCCB, Occasion Xperts and the wedding all depend on showing the right content to the right people.
  • One identity beats many. Tiger15 and enGen X use one QR for several jobs.
  • Several are not events at all. Integrity Champ, HSBC and Nirvaan run for months.
  • The work starts before the event. The wedding app is live months before the first function, and YEC kept qualifiers busy before the trip.

FAQ

Are these all of Sociana’s work?

No. They are 18 apps from our latest 20 to 25 events. Sociana has run 300+ events over six years.

Do these examples include results?

Not yet. We describe what each app did, not outcomes, because we publish a metric only with its denominator, date and source.

Which example is closest to a dealer meet?

HCCB Partners Meet 2026 in Goa, with group-scoped content for partners and employees, flights and accommodation, awards and games.

Can I see a demo?

Yes. Open the demo app, or ask for a proposal within one business day; Sociana is a managed service rather than a self-serve tool.

Features: hospitality requests and My Stay, games library, step challenges and health sync, exhibitor My Stall and lead capture. Occasion hubs: dealer and partner meets, conferences, weddings, wellness and step challenges, employee programmes. Glossary: my stay, group-scoped content, stepathon.
